David founded Power Settlements in 2007, and is responsible for setting Power Settlements’ strategic objectives and executing the expansion of the SettleCore™ system into all of the ISOs/RTOs. David is responsible for customer relationship management, sales, and overseeing all phases of software development. David is an expert in CAISO settlements and is responsible for designing the business functionality in all of the SettleCore™ modules for the CAISO market. Prior to starting Power Settlements, David worked at various consulting firms including Deloitte & Touché, where he consulted for many of the CAISO participants, including investor owned utilities, independent generators, power marketers, and municipalities. David first started his career in the ISO/RTO space when he joined the California Power Exchange in 1998, where he was a senior settlement analyst, led the dispute group, and trained market participants on validating their CAISO settlement statement charges.
VP of Software Development
Michael was the first employee hired by Power Settlements, when he joined in late 2007. Michael is highly knowledgeable of the business side of settlements in the ISO/RTO markets. Michael is the original software architect of the SettleCore™ system, and originally performed all software development of the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO modules for Power Settlements’ CAISO customers. Michael now leads our software development team and is directly responsible for architecting the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO system for our expansion into additional markets, including PJM, MISO, ISO-NE, ERCOT, NYISO, and SPP. Michael is known for his quick turnaround times for our customers and for providing overall superior customer service.
Million joined Power settlements in 2010 and has grown his expertise in CAISO settlements and analysis. Million is a major contributor in both customer support and software development of the SettleCore™ system for the CAISO market. Million is also directly responsible for the support and development of the highly interactive SettleCore – Business Intelligence and Analytics Module. Prior to joining Power settlements, Million worked for a major financial company in South Africa as a software developer.
David joined Power Settlements in the fall of 2013 as a software development intern. Currently, David works on the development of the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO modules. David is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at California State University Los Angeles.
Rico has over 20 years of experience in software development. Rico has contributed to the software development of the Scheduling Module of SettleCore™ – MISO. Rico is knowledgeable in a wide range of hardware and software platforms, and he has extensive experience in architecting and developing mission critical applications in many industries including mortgage, credit reporting, and healthcare among others. Rico is also skilled in the implementation of software development best practices. Prior to joining Power Settlements, Rico was a lead developer for an ACA healthcare exchange.
Peter joined Power Settlements in April 2013 and is primarily responsible for architecting and designing new software for the SettleCore – ETRM products such as the Deal Capture Module, the Credit Module, and the Risk Analytics Module. Peter also assists with development of the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO products Peter has more than 10 years of software application development experience in energy and commodity trading risk systems, VaR and CVA systems, 3D CAD software, and computer digital simulation. Besides programming skills, Peter also has extensive quantitative knowledge.
Manager of Quality Assurance and Customer Support
Toni has over 15 years of experience delivering and supporting software solutions for deregulated energy markets. Prior to joining Power Settlements, Toni was employed at Brady Energy and worked on multiple large scale settlement system delivery projects for ISO/Market Operators both domestically for the California Power Exchange and internationally for markets in Korea, Philippines, Western Australia and Ireland. She has a broad knowledge base of energy software delivery and support, having held positions of Settlement Business Analyst, Test Manager, Configuration Specialist, and Support Manager. Toni joined the Power Settlements team in 2014 and is responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance for Power Settlements SettleCore™ ISO/RTO and SettleCore™ ETRM software as well as the management of Customer Support.
Russell joined Power Settlements in the fall of 2013 as a software development intern. Currently, Russell works on the development of the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO modules. Before joining Power Settlements, Russell had worked as an independent contractor for an IT consulting company developing business applications and websites. Russell is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Azusa Pacific University.
Ryan joined Power Settlements in the summer of 2013 as an intern and has been promoted to a software developer. Ryan currently works on the development of the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO modules. Before joining Power Settlements, Ryan worked as a Research Assistant at Azusa Pacific University, focusing on data preservation in sensor node networks. Ryan is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems at Azusa Pacific University.
Kaden joined Power settlements in the fall of 2013. He currently is working as a business analyst. Kaden previously had an internship as a financial advisor during the summer of 2013. Kaden recently completed his degree in finance at Azusa Pacific University in December 2013.
Garrett joined Power Settlements in the summer of 2013 as an intern and has been promoted to a software developer. He currently works on the SettleCore™ ISO/RTO modules for Power Settlements’ CAISO customers. Garrett is pursuing a Computer Science major at University of Missouri at St. Louis.
Efrem Joined Power settlements as a data analyst, where he assists with the SettleCore Daily Processing Service for our customers. Efrem previously worked in the Finance Department at a hospital and as an assistant manager at a convenience store. Efrem is a graduate of Financial Information Systems from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Mahesh had previously contracted for Power Settlements since 2010, and joined Power Settlements as an employee in 2012. Mahesh has over 12 years of experience in software development and implementation of applications in the energy trading industry. Mahesh specializes in analyzing, designing and developing front-office/back-office real-time application solutions for various trading platforms for multiple commodities, including API integration with electronic exchanges. Mahesh assists with development of the SettleCore™ system, including ISO/RTO and ETRM functionality. Previously, Mahesh worked for Shell Trading North America as a senior application developer for over 8 years.
