Power Settlements was in founded 2007.  Our company is comprised of software developers and business consultants who specialize in assisting energy companies with analyzing and automating the settlements process.

David Dan - Principal.  David has been settling CAISO settlement statements for a decade.  David began his career in 1998 at the California Power Exchange, where he was a senior settlement analyst, led the dispute group, and trained market participants on validating their CAISO settlement statement charges.  David left the California Power Exchange in 2001 and accepted a consulting position at Deloitte & Touché, where he led a project to automate the bilateral settlement of a large state power organization.  David later joined a boutique settlement consulting and software firm, where he worked with validating CAISO settlement statements and advising companies on how to improve their CAISO back-office processes. 

David is an expert in CAISO settlements and has consulted for many of the CAISO participants, including investor owned utilities, independent generators, power marketers, and municipalities.  David is also the lead designer of the Power Settlements SettleCore™ application.  David regularly attends the CAISO’s MRTU implementation meetings.
